Counselling

Counselling can help you to overcome personal problems such as relationship difficulties, bereavement, depression, breaking addictions, or when making important life decisions. There are times in our lives when we need to talk to someone apart from our friends and family. Counselling can help you to get to the root of the problem more quickly. Talking to a qualified professional will enable you to take a different approach to problems, whilst providing you with a supportive environment in which to do so.  Counselling helps you to:

Understand your emotions

See challenges from a different perspective

Explore your thoughts and concerns in a non-judgemental environment

Gain a deeper understanding of your relationships

Feel more empowered and in control of your life

I qualified as a Person Centred Counsellor in 1999 and have worked as a Counsellor in a number of settings including The Peace Hospice, Druglink and for a local GP Surgery.  I am a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists and adhere to the guidelines and code of ethics as set out by the BACP.
